We had a lovely room that was HUGE and the smallest en-suite I’ve ever seen. The sea views were unbeatable. The room was 221 and it had a strange, but not uncomfortable feeling to it. What was strange was what I can only describe as a …

Overrated, like the all Tintagel village. l had made a reservation and on arrival, I walked in and walked out. The receptionist was pleasant, but very slow and had to call on the phone 3 times to verify the very, very expensive room was available. I just walked out. The place was not for me. Looked like a surreal dollhouse. We went 10 miles down the road and in Port Isaac found a beautiful cottage half of the price of the room we booked. Was the 28 Dec to 1st of January.

Went back to see this amazingly over the top place. Victorian architecture meets Eastern European, Scientology glitz. Only visited - not stayed - as the threat of being indoctrinated seemed just too scary. And as for the glittery fairyland paintings - not to be missed.

Gorgeous hotel in a stunning location. Beds extremely comfortable and service is outstanding. Be prepared though, if you stay in one of the more basic rooms, the bathroom/toilet is nothing more than a pod! Not an issue for us, but it may be for some, so consider yourself warned!

Simply the place to stay. Incredible attention to detail. Welcoming and very pleasant staff. And the room, well I had the most stunning view of the bridge and tintagel castle. Couldn't if asked for more. I was even allowed to park my car there the morning I arrived way before check in. Details matter. Cannot wait to bring the entire family down, they need to experience the location and yourselves
